Arrived In Sydney Yesterday

Well we did it! Both of us our safe & sound in Australia. The flight was long but not as bad I envisioned. We slept, ate and read books. Heather & Wayne were at the Airport in Sydney waiting for us. They are as nice as nice can be! Just regular folks - like you & me! They took us to lunch and showed us where to grocery shop, have a great meal & a much needed drink plus where to catch the train for Sydney. Then we went to their house for the living details. It is lovely and right on Lake Macquqrie. They then left for their Florida Adventure and should arrive at the Inlet on Thursday.

We slept 12 hours straight when we finally took showers and found the comfy bed. This afternoon we drove (our first venture driving on the left hand side of the road) to buy groceries in Toronto. It is the closest larger town to Wangi Wangi. After experiencing sticker shock from the grocery prices, we came home to Wangi Wangi (WW from now on)and had a drink. Monty will cook on the grill tonight.

Examples (exchane rate is $1 to 1 Aussie $):
Gas $6/gallon (1.50/ltr)
Bannanas $5/lb (10.00/k)
Milk $5/qt
Beer $30/case
Very small bottle of Jim Beam $40

Let's never "bitch" again!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow our plans are to drive around the entire Lake (to again practice driving on the left) & then on our Friday we might venture on our first train ride to Sydney.
